I am an active and passionate researcher, pioneering research in several areas of Astronomy, from machine learning to survey strategy optimisation. I have published over 30 papers in leading journals and lead or made significant contributions to 10 community white papers (technical documents intended to inform decision-making and policy development). According to google scholar, my papers have been cited over 1700 times resulting in an h-index of 23. This is supported by the more specialised Astrophysics Data System, funded by NASA and hosted by Harvard. ADS also records more than 1700 citations although it reports a slightly lower h-index at 21.
In this section on research, I detail my most impactful research projects, my approach to student supervision and list more than 25 invited talks given at international conferences.
